Wendelstein, 19. Juni 2005, 23:09 MESZ: Bei uneingeschränkter Horizontsicht und besten atmosphärischen Bedingungen fotografierte Frau Carolin Baumann vom 1838 m hohen Wendelstein in Südbayern aus (47° 42' 15'' N; 12° 00' 46'' E) die NLC knapp nach 23 Uhr MESZ. Die Leuchtende Nachtwolke gliederte sich in einen wenig auffallenden horizontferneren und einen helleren unteren Abschnitt. Der helle Stern im Bild ist Capella im Fuhrmann. Die Aufnahme wurde dankenswerterweise von Frau Carolin Baumann zur Verfügung gestellt (http://steinderl.de).

Carolin Baumann took an image of the Noctilucent Cloud at the Wendelstein (1838 m, 47° 42' 15'' N; 12° 00' 46'' E) in southern Bavaria this evening at 21:00 UT. The conditions were excellent: best view to the mathematical horizon! The NLC was devided into a bright part near the horizon and a fainter one above it.
